Cultures interplay and collide in Boochier’s bold jewelry creations.
Established in 2019, Chinese-Ghanaian designer and founder Melinda Zeman draws inspiration from her multi-cultural heritage and diverse background to create a contemporary collection of fine jewels that celebrate joy and individuality. Her whimsical and nostalgic designs are meticulously crafted, seamlessly blending tongue-in-cheek maximalism with tantalizing sophistication.
Melinda’s fascination with jewelry began at a young age, inspired by her grandmother who was a passionate collector of jade jewelry. From trawling through jade markets in search of hidden treasures with her grandmother, she understood not only the transformative powers of jewelry but also its unique ability to create bonds that transcend generations.
These memories inspired her to create Boochier’s first collection, the Ties. Featuring interlocking laces of gold, diamonds and colour, this striking design celebrates the different experiences or “threads” that interweave throughout our lives, making us all distinctly unique.
It is this same spirit that is imbued in all Boochier’s creations.
